Equipment Cleaning · Brisbane, QLD

Electrical & electronic equipment cleaning.

Most equipment is never professionally cleaned. Contamination causes component failure. Bacteria on multi-user equipment contributes to illness and absenteeism. Professional cleaning addresses both.

Cleaning extends equipment life

Priority Data Services cleans all types of electrical and electronic equipment. Most equipment is never maintained, and this lack of maintenance leads to failure of components or the equipment itself. Regular professional cleaning removes the contamination that accelerates wear.

Sanitisation of equipment also reduces the level of bacteria associated with multi-user devices. Studies consistently find that frequently touched surfaces in workplaces carry significant bacterial loads. Regular sanitisation every three months is recommended for high-touch multi-user equipment in any environment where hygiene is a concern.

Professionally cleaned equipment presents better to clients and customers. It also creates a culture where people take responsibility for the condition of their surroundings, which has broader workplace benefits beyond the equipment itself.

Equipment we clean

All types of electrical and electronic equipment, including specialist and industrial items.

01

Office and
AV Equipment

Photocopiers, printers, scanners, audio visual equipment, projectors, and screens. These are high-touch surfaces that accumulate contamination and bacteria rapidly in shared-use environments. We clean internal paper paths on photocopiers where accessible, as well as all external surfaces.

High-touch surfaces
02

Network and
Telecommunications

Switches, routers, patch panels, telephone handsets, and communications equipment. Network equipment in equipment rooms and IDF cabinets accumulates dust loads that affect cooling and longevity. Telephone handsets are among the highest bacterial-load surfaces in any workplace.

Network infrastructure
03

POS and
Transaction Equipment

Point of sale registers, EFTPOS terminals, and transaction processing equipment. These are among the most frequently touched items in any retail or hospitality environment and accumulate contamination and bacteria faster than most other equipment types.

04

Specialist and
Industrial Equipment

X-ray control racks, industrial controllers, medical equipment peripherals, kitchen equipment, and air conditioning units. We have experience cleaning equipment in specialist environments including hospital departments, laboratory facilities, and food service operations where hygiene requirements are more demanding.

The cleaning process

Contamination removed. Surfaces sanitised. Equipment documented.

  1. A

    Scope and Assessment

We assess each item of equipment to determine access, cleaning method, and any handling requirements specific to that equipment type. Items with physical damage or conditions that preclude cleaning are flagged before work begins.

  2. B

    Contamination Removal

External contamination is removed using HEPA-filtered vacuuming and microfibre wipes. Internal contamination where accessible is addressed using appropriate tools. We do not use compressed air or solvent-based products that could damage equipment or redistribute contamination.

  3. C

    Sanitisation

High-touch surfaces are sanitised using approved antistatic sanitiser appropriate to the equipment type. This is particularly important for multi-user equipment in shared workplaces and public-facing environments.

  4. D

    Documentation

Completed work is documented. Photographic records are available on request. Any equipment conditions observed during cleaning that indicate underlying issues are reported to your representative.

Frequently asked questions

How often should electrical equipment be professionally cleaned?

For most shared-use office and IT equipment, every six to twelve months is appropriate. High-touch surfaces in environments with hygiene requirements, such as medical facilities, food service, or high-traffic public spaces, benefit from quarterly sanitisation. Equipment in environments with higher contamination loads requires more frequent attention.

Can you clean equipment on-site without removing it?

Yes. We work on-site for most equipment types. Items that require more thorough internal access may need to be powered down and isolated, but external cleaning and sanitisation is typically done in place without disrupting operations.

Do you clean medical or laboratory equipment?

Yes. We have experience cleaning in hospital departments, pathology laboratories, radiology suites, and other specialist medical environments. We work within the infection control protocols of those facilities and can provide documentation of the cleaning process for compliance purposes.

What products do you use on electronic equipment?

We use antistatic cleaning solutions appropriate to electronic equipment surfaces. We do not use general-purpose cleaning products, solvents, or anything that could damage equipment finishes or internal components. Products are selected based on the equipment type and manufacturer guidance where available.

Can you provide a regular scheduled service?

Yes. Scheduled maintenance agreements are available for organisations that want regular cleaning visits without the overhead of organising each visit separately. Contact us to discuss your equipment inventory and preferred schedule.
